Dreams
Triptych of analogue photos, Taken from my Photobook, "Glasgow's Winter". Printed, framed, and embellished with Scots poetry.
This listing is for all three framed prints as a single triptych. As such, collection or local delivery is preferred. For shipping further affield, please contact me for courier cost.
Three frozen moments from early morning walks in a Winter Lockdown, while everyone else was dreaming.
During these disoriented blue hours, every path and gate led to nowhere and everywhere. The shared silence at times felt peaceful, and at others like being trapped under a falling sky.
One morning I found the words of a poem, torn and obscured by the elements. I gave it one last moment of meaning, pinning it back in place for this photo, before it blew away again, leaving the world once more serene, surreal, lonely and cold.
Reflecting on these 35mm memories, I have responded with the Scots language poetry seen painted in blue, reframing them as a liminal dream sequence - much like the period in which they were photographed.
Dimensions - three 12×8 Giclee photos mounted in 20×16 distressed frames, hand painted poetry.
